Families on Wheels is a free, one-hour private family skating experience delivered through Brent Active Together â Test & Learn, in partnership with TETH Youth & Adult Service, StreetGames, and RollaDome All Skate.
This programme is designed to explore how shared family movement â such as learning to skate together â can support confidence, communication, wellbeing, and positive family relationships.
Your participation and feedback will directly help design Brentâs future Family Learn-to-Skate Programme.
â IMPORTANT â PLEASE READ
This form is an APPLICATION for a place. It does NOT secure a booking.Â
Because this is a funded pilot with only 14 family sessions available:Â
- Up to 3 families may apply for each time slotÂ
- Only 1 family per slot will be selectedÂ
- A decision letter will be sent to confirm whether:Â
â Your family has secured a placeÂ
â You have been offered an alternative sessionÂ
â You have been added to the waiting listÂ
Submitting the application means you understand and agree to this process.
đ§ž Consent Requirements (Mandatory)Â
All participating families must provide consent for:Â
- Safety, participation and use of equipmentÂ
- Sharing anonymised feedback for programme evaluationÂ
- Pre- and post-session reflections (required for all families)Â
- Data processing under safeguarding and GDPR guidelinesÂ
đ¸ Photo/video consent is optional and will be asked separately.
Declining media consent does not affect eligibility.
Families who cannot commit to the required feedback and participation activities cannot be offered a session, as they are essential to the Test & Learn evaluation.
đ¨âđŠâđ§âđŚ Who Can ApplyÂ
To ensure this pilot reaches the families it is designed for:Â
- Applicants must live in BrentÂ
- Families must be immediate family onlyÂ
(1 parent/legal guardian + children aged 6â16 living in the same household) - Up to 4 family members per sessionÂ
- Families should be able to participate in all required activitiesÂ
- SEND families are welcomeÂ
Priority will be given to families who:
- Live in or near St Raphaelâs / Wembley WardÂ
- Are new to organised sport or wellbeing activitiesÂ
- Have been referred by schools, community groups, youth workers, or faith leadersÂ
- Would benefit from a therapeutic, confidence-building family sessionÂ

Each one-hour private session includes:Â
- A qualified RollaDome coachÂ
- All skates and safety equipmentÂ
- Step-by-step skating guidanceÂ
- Activities focused on teamwork, communication, and funÂ
- A short feedback/reflection activityÂ
- A safe, encouraging space for family bondingÂ
